Project Life – Week 23

Week 23 was June 3 to 9 and was a shift in focus of my Project Life for the summer months.  It was done for a couple of reasons.  I wanted to ensure that I didn’t get bogged down trying to keep up with it during the summer and also, I needed a place to put all of the index cards that I was creating.  So here’s how I decided to deal with it:

I am adhering my index cards to 4X6 cardstock or patterned papers, adding a date stamp and putting them in the 7 available slots in my two page per week spread in my Project Life Album.  I still have my “title” card in the top left-hand corner of the left-hand page.  Then I just add a few photos and journalling cards to the smaller slots.  I love that Basic Grey Basics Paper and those journalling cards were a free download that Cathy Zielske had on her blog here.

In order to add my journaling and photos to my Project Life during July and August, I will be using insert pages.  During this particular week, I didn’t take many photos.  It was exam week for the kids and the house was very quiet and activities were few.  I used an 8 1/2X11  page protector for this week’s insert where I included a journaling box and a few photos on one side.  On the other, I printed a blog post about the passing of a very important person to our family.  His death had a very profound effect on our family and I wanted to remember it.  Here’s a look at the insert:

And the other side:

Today is July 12th….I will be busy documenting today in photos for July’s 12 on 12.  I’ll be back tomorrow to show you what I captured through my lens today!  It another amazing, beautiful summer day which should give me lots to photograph.

Enjoy your day!  Are you playing 12 on 12 today?
